Third Post: My favorite technology

I`m not a lover of technology, but these tools are very useful in our daily life. One of the things I like to do is reading an interesting book about philosophy or science fiction; see a film, a series or an interesting documentary.

 The best invention for me is the Tablet. I carry whit me to every places that I go, whit this I can study, fun, see all things that I like, when and where I want. When I go out of Santiago, I can drink a delicious cup of coffee and reading something.

In my university, with this instrument I can record the voice of my teachers in theirs class and listen in another moment. On the other hand I can read the class material. With this I don`t need to print the material, I can protect the environment.

My life without my tablet will not be different, because there are many objects whit which it would replace. The technology isn`t indispensable in our society, this tools only can make easier our life, but it can`t take the place of the human mind. 

Second Post: My Best Holidays

My Best Holidays
Hello everybody, in this occasion I will talk about a great experience for me.

One year ago, I went to the south of Chile for twelve days. If you go to this magic place, you will count the days to return in other opportunity.

I had never traveled there. The trip lasted 12 hours, was the most log trip in my life. Normally, the trip leas 7-8 hours, but we should had to stop frequently because my mother was pregnant, and the doctor recommended not stand sit down a long time.
I went whit my parent and some relatives and we stand in a house in “Los Lagos”, a cozy place to relax and arrive after to travel to the different places. We can visit different lakes, rivers and some towns and cities like Lake Lican Ray, Pucon, Futrono, Valdivia, Temuco, Lake Calafquen and others. Every one of these places is beautiful, and I may return to visit there.

Finally, I, my cousins and my brother make different things. Sometimes we went to some lake and talked about the life, play carioca and poker, drink some bears and smoke cigarettes.

Fist Post: What country would I like to visit?

In this post I will talk about a special place for my. I really love my country but I would like to go to the other sites, for example Norway.

Norway is lies in Europe, between England and Sweden, and next to Finland. This country is very rainy and cold, full of nature, big rivers and high mountains. It’s perfect!

I do not know about the food in this country, but it isn`t a problem for me.

In this place we can practice much kind of spots. We can practice since trekking, climbing, kayak, until parachuting. On the other hand we can move through the interesting roads. I´m a people very restless, I can stand in a place without know these principal attractions.

On the other hand, Norway is a developed country. The statistics say that Norway has the most quality of life in the world. This country is special to live, work and study. Next to this place is Finland, one of the strongest countries in education system.

 

Post 10 (week 15) Evaluation of your Blogging Experience

This time I will talk about my experience in my blog. Since I went to school, the only thing that I learned in English were words and recognize them in a text, but never write something by myself and create something that has coherence and cohesion. I think that a part of learning to communicate in this language is that we be able to create something from our own experiences.

I have never used “Blogger”, it is a very complete and easy editing platform. I can use a lot of tools and colors, making it a great way to communicate without losing the formality of a class.

I think that through this experience I could change my writing skills. Thanks to this activity, gradually I could collect my thoughts and relate what I have learned in class. On the other hand, I could use new forms of expression that allowed enrich my vocabulary.

Since my point of view, my weakest point is not English writing. The idea of ​​blogs is excellent for forms of written communication skills, but only limited to that. What I mean is that we should further strengthen activities on “listening” and “speaking” in English, as expressed using these forms is more complex. Perhaps this could be supplemented with more activities "lisening" without being evaluated.

Post 9 (week 14) >> Themed/Free post 4 "FOUCh"

In this post I speak about my faculty. This is a very important space for me, because I spend most of the time on it. For all of us this space represents the first approach to our future employment.
This space has direct access to the Faculty of chemistry and is one block from the Faculty of medicine. Sometimes I've had classes in these areas. As for the other careers that do not directly belong to the area of health, our faculty is too remote.


Our faculty has a well-stocked library, with books of different area of knowledge applied to dentistry. On the other hand, the rooms are very cosy, they are well structured according to the number of students expected.


The dental clinic, although it has an excellent implementation, is a small space which ensures the privacy of the patient. During the clinical examination we must get useful information to reach a proper diagnosis, which may be interfered by this defect. In our career as a dentist will not only see mouths, if not people with different life histories.


Changes that I would make in the faculty are enlarge the green areas. In a place full of high frequency noise and a smell of eugenol intense, we need to clear us. For that we need fresh spaces, that only fully provided by nature. This would greatly reduce the stress.

Post 7 (week 11) >> Childhood Series.

On this occasion, I will talk about series from my childhood that I used to see. In my case, I saw many series that marked my childhood, but only one was my favorite: “El chavo del 8”


I started to see her when I was 6 years old. The program deals with the experiences of a group of people living in a Mexican neighborhood where its protagonist, el Chavo, carry out mischief along with his friends that cause misunderstandings and arguments between the same neighbors, always in a comic tone. This series was performed by adults, even the children characters. Despite this, was achieved to maintain innocence intact. What I liked most in this series was the distinctive of each of his characters, which represented different realities in a very funny way. Along with this, this series had a family touch, both so parents and children were laughing together.


I feel that this series represent much my childhood. Games, pranks and laughs were very similar to the experiences that I lived with my friends from childhood. Perhaps that is the reason why I liked more than other series.


Finally, the only series I see is "the walking dead" and I really like.

The web site that I chose to speak on this occasion is SciELO. It consists of a database with several magazines, articles and reports about medical clinical, epidemiology and social sciences. It is an initiative created by FAPESP and BIREME and according to the site, "it aims to develop a common methodology for the preparation, storage, dissemination and evaluation of scientific literature in electronic format". Today, it boasts the participation of thirteen Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries, one of this is Chile.


The structure is quite simple. Account with a search engine by "Keys words", topic, author, in addition to being able to choose the country of origin of the article.


I consult this page constantly, whenever I need to organize any oral presentation or supplement my study with fresh information. I really love it, it is quite reliable because it has different mechanisms of evaluation of its publications and constantly new papers are. On the other hand, this web site having Chilean publications, I think it is a great contribution to encourage research in our country. I invite you to visit this excellent site.
